Treat money like your breath

Fredric Lehrman taught me something amazing about money.

I have been an excellent giver most of my life, I was always the one to pull the credit card and to pay or buy for my family friends etc. On the other hand, I had hard time being a good receiver, always felt bad when I was invited and someone else was paying for me. I felt obligated to that person who was paying for me, I did not want this obligation.

While I was listening to an interview with Fred Lehrman I realized something. Money comes from people. It does not come from any other place. Also, giving and receiving money is just like breathing – you can not only exhale, you have to inhale too. When someone is giving, you need to be receiving knowing you deserve it.

my affirmation for today – I deserve to be paid for the value I provide, and by that I am helping people.
